Description: SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages assigned staff (AR Supervisors) including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation and training. The Manager, Billing & Collections will make recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations and similar actions. Resolve employee problems within position responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field. MBA preferred.
Experience:
? 5 - 7 years of experience in a high volume, computerized medical billing and accounts receivable environment.
? Minimum of 2 years experience in managing and developing direct reports and team.
? In depth experience in process, people and technology in shared services operations.
? Experience in organizing and managing disparate cross-functional/work stream teams.
? Strong experience in internal controls, including internal audit and Sarbanes Oxley.
Other Skills and Abilities:
? Strong business knowledge of billing and accounts receivables
? Strong knowledge of current best practice thinking in shared services is critical
? Knowledge of finance and accounting processes and operational environments including management and reporting
? Proficiency in Microsoft suite applications
? Ability to interact at senior/middle management level
? Ability to build relationships across a wide and diverse client base
? Ability to converse confidently and comfortably related to process re-engineering
? Excellent leadership and motivational skills
? A team player who excels in a collaborative environment
? Willingness to adapt to flexible work schedule when necessary
? Ability to travel as needed (approx. 15%)
